Ninjade tiimi ootame registreeruma vabatahtlikke, kes on valmis abiks olema võistlusnädala jooksul (31.07-07.08.2023) ning täpselt selles rollis, kus vajadust on. Ninja on valmis vajadusel aitama materjalide pakkimisel, vahetusala räkkide ülesseadmisel, bännerite ülespanekul, võistlejate rataste vastuvõtmisel vahetusalas, alade korrahoidmisel, radade turvamisel, jne, ehk kõigis ülal nimetatatud meeskondades. Ninjadeks ootame rõõmsameelseid, aktiivseid ja tööalteid 15+ vanuses vabatahtlikke.

BUILDING TEAM 

 

Building team starts and finishes each event. Comfortable and safe start and finish areas, compact and simple race centre, getting everything ready, so that participants, supporters and the organizing team would feel good. Building team is most suitable for adult men, but all 16+ active volunteers, who are not afraid of hard work are welcome. Building team needs help a week before the race starts (31.07-07.08.2023)

VISUAL TEAM 

 

Visual team is ideal for younger volunteers to gain their first experience in the volunteering world. The team awaits young active volunteers, who will be putting up banners, signs, etc. Visual team need help a week before the race starts (31.07-07.08.2023) and there’s a possibility to join other teams on race days!

INFO TEAM 

 

Information desk is the main source of information for the participants and supporters at the race centre before and during the event. Here you’ll be the main help for our participants and their supporters in navigating the race centre and getting answers to all their questions. The tasks include working at the information desk and answering the info phone. The Info desk at the race centre is open Thursday-Sunday (03.-06.08.2023). If needed the workdays will be divided into two shifts. Expectation for the volunteers is to be active, friendly, open and have good communications skills. Knowing Russian and English are added bonuses. We will provide a supportive team and awesome experiences.

ATHLETE SERVICE TEAM 

 

This is the “gateway” to all sports events one of the first places an athlete heads to at the race. Participants can register an pick up their race material here. From our volunteers we expect good communication skills, punctuality, and precision.  A positive attitude and cheerfulness are very welcome. Speaking English is very helpful and any other language skills are a great bonus. We’ll need your help a couple of days before the race centre opens starting with preparing the Athlete Service area at the beginning of the week. The most intense workdays will be on 01.-06.08.2023. Be prepared for long days, but, if possible, we will offer the chance to work in shifts.

ATHLETE LOGISTICS 

 

Athlete logistics team is responsible for transporting athletes and their gear. The volunteers will be at the bus stops helping load athletes’ bikes on vans and directing athletes to the buses, that will go to transition zone 1. At T1 the bikes need to be loaded of the van and returned to the athletes. From our volunteers we expect precision, swiftness, good stress-tolerance, and any language skills are helpful (Russian, English, German, etc). We await to this team adult men and active 16+ volunteers. Athlete Logistic team is looking for help on 04.-06.08.2023.

START AREA 

 

The start area volunteers will be welcoming the athletes cheerfully in the early morning and sending them off to the course with well wishes and cheers. They will also help at the swim exit area and keep the start area clean. After all athletes are out of the water and the start area packed up for the day you can join other teams if you wish to. From our volunteers we expect punctuality, enthusiasm, and initiative. Start area is looking for help on race days: Saturday and Sunday (05.-06.08.2023)

WATER SAFETY TEAM 

 

A member of the water safety team must be able to work on the water and help other if necessary. On race days we expect great focus from you, to spot the athlete in need of help between hundreds of swimmers. Previous experience as a lifeguard or from some water sports is a great advantage. Swimming skills are elementary, but on the course we will use kayaks and SUP boards, so you’ll need to be able to stay on those. The time on the water is around 5-6 hours, so you might need a wetsuit. It would be good, if you have your own gear with which you’ll be comfortable and safe to go on water. TRANSITION ZONE 

 

Here athletes will switch from swimming to cycling and from cycling to running. In the transition zone everything happens at the speed of light. We expect from our volunteers quick and logical thinking and being active – all the participants’ bikes and transition bags will need fast organizing. Transition zone need help a couple of days before the race day, from Thursday-Sunday (03.-06.08.2023)

BIKE COURSE SAFETY 

 

Speed is the keyword for the bike course! You can help making if safe, so that nothing distracts the participants, and they will not have to worry about anything else other than racing. Volunteers at the age 16+ are welcome to this team. Bike course safety team needs help on race days: Saturday and Sunday (05.-06.08.2023)

RUN COURSE SAFET 

 

It can seem like the easiest part of a triathlon – but know this, the last discipline is the one where athletes need the most cheering and encouragement. Your help is needed to make the course safe for the athletes to have the best experience possible. At the run course you are the closest to the athletes, so you’ll get to see all the top athletes and cheer on everyone who might be struggling at one of the biggest events of their life. Volunteers at the age 16+ are welcome to this team. Run course safety team needs help on race days: Saturday and Sunday (05.-06.08.2023)

BIKE COURSE AID STATIONS 

 

At the bike course aid stations (further from the city) you’ll be the good and quick helper, who’ll aid athletes in having a fast and safe pause for energy refills. Bike course aid stations need help on race days: Saturday and Sunday (05.-06.08.2023)

RUN COURSE AID STATIONS 

 

You’ll be the one that helps athletes load up and make their way to the finish line. The volunteers will get the aid station tables ready with drinks and snacks and will keep it clean. Run course aid stations (in Tallinn city) are ideal for younger volunteers to gain their first experience in the volunteering world. We expect from the volunteers initiative, friendliness, openness and good communication skills. Run course aid stations need help on race days: Saturday and Sunday (05.-06.08.2023)

FINISH AREA 

 

In this team you can be among the fresh and pure post-race emotions. The volunteers will give the athletes medals and finisher T-shirts (the two most important tokens from the race for athletes) and help athletes in the post-race area. We expect from the volunteers initiative, helpfulness, and friendliness. Russian and English skills will be helpful. Finish area needs help on race days: Saturday and Sunday (05.-06.08.2023), but also on Friday (03.08.2023) for preparations.

PHOTOGRAPHERS

 

A photographer is, for the most time, right in the middle of it all and will be a part of all the emotions. Photographers must capture these emotions and people from different angles. Having your own gear and skills to use them are necessary. You’ll also need to be ready to forward the pictures operatively. Work will be in shifts. Photographers work on race days (05.-06.08.2023) and during the side events – IRONKIDS (04.08.2023)

MEDICAL TEAM 

 

The medical team is extremely important at IRONMAN Tallinn for the athletes to be able to push their mental and physical limits. It is a very regulated team that holds a lot of responsibility, so volunteers with specific skills are welcome. Medical team need helps when the race centre is open (03.-06.08.2023)
